PRIVATE TOUR - 8 DAYS
Fortaleza/ Cruz - Jericoacoara– Departure from Fortaleza or Cruz to Jericoacoara on a private 4×4 transfer (Travel last: from Fortaleza 4hs/5hs from Cruz 40/50 minutes). Rest of the day free to enjoy Jericoacoara. Suggestion: watch the sunset on the dune. Overnight in Jericoacoara.
Jericoacoara / Lagoas Azul and Paraíso– Departure at 9am or at a previously agreed time for a ride in a buggy, Quad bike or UTV to Lagoa Azul and Paraíso. We will pass by Árvore da Preguiça, Praia do Preá and Lagoa Azul, arriving at Lagoa Paraíso around 11am, then have lunch experience at Casa B&B (not included). After free time for swimming and rest, we head back to Vila de Jericoacoara passing through the dunes of the national park, our arrival will be around 4pm. Rest of the day free. Overnight in Jericoacoara.
Jericoacoara / Ilha do Amor / Camocim – At 9am we will leave for Camocim in a 4×4 vehicle or Utv, the first ferry crossing will take place at Praia de Guriú, where we will cross the mangrove with aerial roots and continue through a park of mobile dunes to Lago da Torta where we will make our stop for a swim and lunch (not included), then we continue to Ilha do Amor with free time for contemplate the landscape and swim. In the late afternoon we head to the ferry that will take us to Camocim at the mouth of the Coreaú River. Rest of the day free Overnight in Camocim.
Camocim / Parnaíba – At 09am board your flight to Parnaíba in a 4×4 vehicle. We continue on asphalt until we reach Parnaíba. At around 12pm we head to Porto dos Tatus to board a local boat and continue on to the Parnaíba Delta tour. First passing through a dune formation east of Feijão Bravo, in Baía do Cajú. There is a stop for lunch (not included) on the Ilha das Canarias and then we will visit the dunes and take a dip in the seasonal lagoons or in the river. At around 5:30pm, the typical birds of the Parnaíba Delta, the Red Guará, fly in. The return is scheduled after sunset to the port with arrival scheduled for 6:30pm, then board the 4x4 to back to the hotel. Night free. Overnight in Parnaíba
Parnaíba / Caburé / Atins – At 9am we continue in the 4x4 towards Tutoia in Maranhão to visit the ship cemetery beach, then we will have lunch (not included) in a local restaurant and continue to Caburé Beach, passing by APA (environment protect area) Pequenos Lençóis. In Caburé we boarded a local boat for Atins in a 15-minute crossing. Arrival and transfer to the hotel, rest of the day free. Suggestion: walk along the main beach of Atins. Overnight in Atins.
Atins / Temporary Lagoons / Canto do Atins – Morning free to rest and at 12pm departure for a walk around the lakes and dunes of the National Park, we will pass through trails among the undergrowth and trails to the most beautiful lagoons on the Atins side. Lunch (not included) will be during the journey at Mr. Antonio's or Carminha's restaurants. We will sunbathe among the dunes and return to Atins around 6pm. Overnight in Atins.
Atins / Barreirinhas – Free morning. At 10am transfer to the port of Atins and board a local boat for Barreirinhas. We will go to the oldest riverside village, Mandacaru, where we will climb the Preguiças Lighthouse, with a panoramic view of the entire region, we will pass through Caburé, Espaldarte, a community of nomadic fishermen and we will stop in Vassouras to see the Capuchin Monkeys and the local crafts. Our lunch (not included) is scheduled for our arrival in Barreirinhas at around 1pm in one of the riverside restaurants or at the destination hotel. Rest of the day free to rest or at the end of the day take an optional flight over the National Park. Free night. Suggestion: walk along the riverside promenade. Overnight in Barreirinhas.
*there is also the option of leaving for São Luis on the same day after lunch.
Barreirinhas / São Luís –At 10am or time to be agreed, return to São Luís via land (250km – 4h journey) or via air taxi 45/50 minutes.
